Thomas Wright was born May 16, 1859 in Olney, Buckinghamshire, England. He was educated at Buxton College, a boys' school in Buxton, Derbyshire, and married Angelina Edwards on January 1, 1884. Elizabeth Wysor was an American opera singer and educator. On May 15, 1953 she was appointed assistant professor of voice at the School of Music at Northwestern University, where she taught mainly applied voice, phonetics and diction. She retired in 1970. Charles N. Zucker was awarded a Ph.D. in history from Northwestern University in August, 1972. The title of his doctoral dissertation was The Free Negro Question: Race Relations in Ante-Bellum Illinois, 1801-1860.
